Terrence H. Over

Terrence H. Over, 74, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at Hilltop Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late George C. And Mary C. (Hall) Over. On May 20, 1978 he married Majorie J. Maier.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie; 4 sons: Nicolas, Martin (Marcie), Conrad and Patrick; 3 grandchildren: Violet, Elliott, and Nicolas; and 2 siblings: Gregg (Lynette) Over and Patrice (Richard) Wylie.

He was preceded in death by two sons: Jordan and Damian.

Terrence was a 1968 graduate of Altoona High School. He worked as a printer at the Altoona Mirror and later worked in sales.

He was an outstanding piano player, playing for the last time just in November. He enjoyed poker, Steelers football and trivia.

Over the years he hosted multiple exchange students through organizations like Fresh Air, AISE and deaf students from Central America through Mount Aloysius; his last being in 2014.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Advantage Hospice, especially Pastor Luke Miller, for honoring a funeral service in Terrence’s name.

Friends will be received from 12pm to 1:30pm on Monday, December 15, 2025 at the Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home, 1520 - 4th St. Altoona PA 16601, where a funeral service will take place following the visitation at 1:30pm, Pastor Luke Miller of Advantage Hospice presiding.
